Local house sales soar in March 
Home sales in the greater Rochester region got back on track in March, posting a healthy increase after a slow start in 2006.

Ferry Sale Talks Continue 
Talks continue between the city of Rochester and several parties interested in the defunct fast ferry. A number of parties have taken a look at the boat, which remains parked at the port of Charlotte.

One Thousand Bears Killed in State 
ALBANY, N.Y. Hunters killed 1,000 black bears in New York last year. That's 52 more than the previous year, but down more than 800 from 2003. The Department of Environmental Conservation says bear populations have increased and expanded throughout much of southern New York.

Wires Trap Man in Truck 
An Irondequoit man was trapped inside his truck after pulling down a live electrical wire. It happened in the Schaller's parking lot on Ridge Road. Firefighters said that the man hit a guide wire with his truck that caused the electrical wire to fall down. It landed on his truck.
